Midwest Construction Group’s headquarters is located in the historic Zeeland Record Company Building, originally constructed in 1925 as the home of the Zeeland Record newspaper. The building once served as a hub for local and regional publishing, connecting the Zeeland community to news and information for decades.
Midwest thoughtfully rehabilitated the building through a preservation focused adaptive reuse, honoring its original character while transforming the space into a modern, functional workplace. The renovation preserved defining architectural elements and the building’s open, column free layout—originally designed to support early printing operations—while adapting the space to meet the needs of today’s collaborative office environment. Several historic artifacts from the building’s publishing past remain on display, providing a tangible connection between its history and its new purpose.
The project reflects Midwest’s commitment to craftsmanship, preservation, and community investment, breathing new life into a landmark structure while ensuring it continues to serve Zeeland for generations to come.
