We are looking for a Human Resources Generalist who would oversee all areas of Human Resources within Midwest. This candidate would work closely with our ownership and Operations team. This is a people-centered role in a fast paced, high risk work environment. Therefore, this position requires a person who gravitates towards problem solving through personal interaction, is highly professional, a gifted communicator, and problem solver with a “can do” perspective.

The ideal candidate will have a team mindset, interest in problem-solving and interpersonal skills necessary to interact and work with a diverse group of people. Previous work in the construction industry is a plus but not mandatory.

Some expected responsibilities include:
* This role will include but will not be limited to running the daily functions of the Human Resource
(HR) department
* Facilitate and implement all phases of the recruitment and hiring process
* Facilitate and implement onboarding process
* Participate in college job fairs and develop university (and trade school) contacts
* Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
* Participate in staff performance development, disciplinary meetings, and separations
* Stay current with HR best practices, employment laws and industry trends
* Administers the employee health and welfare plans and acts as liaison between employees and
employment benefits company.
* Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and
increase productivity and retention
* Assist with event planning and other HR support as needed
* Serves as liaison between employees and IT support companies
* Maintain Midwest standards per handbook

Human Resources Generalist Position Qualifications:
* 2+ Years of Experience Preferred
* Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Psychology or other related field
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
* Working and understanding of the human resource principles, practices and procedures
* Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer software
